By Attorney Charles S. Blumenfield October 22, 2015 Posted in Blog Post Share
Attorney Charles Blumenfield led a group presentation regarding emerging issues in privacy law to members of the Thomas E. Fairchild Inn of Court, a legal mentorship organization, on Wednesday, October 14, 2015.
The program, entitled “Traps for the Unwary: A Privacy Law Primer”, provided members with an in-depth look into the subject of privacy law. Topics included: unlawful and/or unauthorized interception and circulation of electronic communications, placement of GPS devices, use of drones, and release of medical and financial records, among other subjects.
“The breadth of laws aimed at protecting privacy is astounding,” says Blumenfield. “As new technologies continue to emerge, and the law develops, attorneys representing individuals and businesses alike need to remain well versed in this area in order to better serve their clients.”
Attorney Blumenfield is a Program Co-Chair and member of the Board of Directors for the Fairchild Inn of Court. He has been an active member since 2002. The American Inns of Court is a legal mentorship organization comprised of lawyers and judges focusing primarily on civil litigation topics.
