Cobby J. Shereff

Cobby J. Shereff is a partner at Blumenfield & Shereff, LLP.

Cobby practices in the field of Intellectual Property. She has extensive experience in representing businesses and individuals in connection with Trademarks, Copyrights, licensing matters and related transactional services. She counsels clients in connection with strategic portfolio development and management, protection of existing intellectual property, and in connection with infringement issues.

Cobby practiced as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York.  She then worked for RCA Records in New York, in the areas of copyright, trademark, unfair competition, licensing, and on general corporate matters, including contract negotiation and drafting.  Cobby relocated to Wisconsin where she practiced with two intellectual property law firms in Wisconsin, prior to co-founding Blumenfield & Shereff.

Cobby obtained her J.D. from Cardozo School of Law in New York in 1979, and her B.A. (cum laude) from William Smith College in 1976.  Cobby obtained her L.L.M. in Trade Regulation from N.Y.U. School of Law in 1983, where she was named winner of the Katz Prize for excellence in the field of entertainment law. 

Cobby is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and New York, before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin.  Cobby is a member of the International Trademark Association, the Wisconsin Intellectual Property Law Association and the Ozaukee County Bar Association.
